I have always loved art, patterns and interiors. The first wallpaper I designed was for my cardboard Sindy dolls house at the age of 8. If only I had photos of that now, a floral number in pink, yellow and green.

Life is not lead in a straight line as we know and so I have done several different things in my career from being a Nanny to a manager in the hospitality industry in charge of functions for 500 people or more. I enjoyed both careers for different reasons but I never really felt like ‘me’ the creative nature loving soul.

When I had my first son I decided to go back to university and study interior design, I loved it. All the memories of being a teenager sat in my room drawing imaginary interiors, designing patterns and playing with colour whilst listening to music. My ‘zone of joy’.

Four years later I had my own design consultancy and interior retail shop, I was living my dream designing beautiful homes and meeting some amazing people.

Another dream of mine was to become a foster carer for teenagers to give back and provide a safe, secure loving home to those less fortunate. Unexpectedly a toddler of 2 1/2 turned up on my doorstep 2 weeks before Christmas. He changed our lives, another twist in life’s journey. My interiors business had to take a back seat for a while whilst I spent time nurturing this little boy. He made me see my true values of what is important in a home and it wasn’t the material things! Wellbeing in my interior design had always been there but now it was paramount and so I developed my business and a wellness interior course to take people on a journey in creating a unique, soulful and sustainable home. I love sharing the joy of colour, pattern and preloved sustainable living based on our individual wellbeing and our environments and run them in my area and online.

There is still another dream (never to old to dream) and that was to design my own collection of sustainable wallpaper and fabrics and to see my patterns out there giving people as much joy as they bring me.
